Priscilla Johnson Wallace, age 88, passed away on Feb. 5, 2018 with her family by her side. Services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Priscilla was born Dec. 26, 1929 in Oklahoma City, OK and was the fourth of six children born to Albert and Bessie Johnson. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School and went to work at Oklahoma National Bank. On June 8, 1951, she married James U. “Bob” Wallace, Jr. They resided in Oklahoma City until 1959, when they moved to Perryton, with their three daughters. In the early 1960’s, she pursued her passion for flying and was among the very first women in the Texas Panhandle to earn her private pilot’s license. Meme, as she was lovingly called by her family and so many who knew her, loved reading, listening to music and working crossword puzzles. She was known for her fashionable sense of style and never went a day without her high heels. Above all, Meme will be remembered for the love for her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob; parents, Albert and Bessie, siblings Dale, Harlan and Alberta; grandson, Durango McNutt and son-in-law, Dennis Lyon. She is survived by her three daughters, Dr. Joni Wallace, Austin; Judge Sherry DeBord and husband Jay DeBord, Perry, OK; and Dr. Melinda Lyon and husband Dr. Jerry Vannatta, Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dr. Jacque Green and Kyle Green, John Wallace and Jaime Lokey, Traci and Charlie Flowers, Kelly and Brent Judice, Ty DeBord, Katy and Chris Turner, and David and Emily Lyon; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
