The odds were stacked against the young Rangerette basketball team on Friday as they opened district play with Pampa. The game was in the Clifton McNeely Fieldhouse, which is the most difficult gym to visit in District 1-4A. The Lady Harvesters were returning almost every player off last year’s varsity squad and looked to make a run at a district title. The Pampa High School student section is hostile to visiting teams and reside near the edge of the court.

The Rangerettes were not phased by any of the above and came to play on Friday. The young team fought through the adversities and seemed to mature during the game to secure the win by the final score of 45-39.
