Rangers drill Dalhart 33-7; headed to bi-district playoffs

The Rangers dominated the Dalhart Golden Wolves Friday night on the road and came home with a big 33-7 win.

The victory makes the Rangers the second seed out of District 1-4A, DII, in the bi-district round of the playoffs, with a 3-1 district record. Bushland was a perfect 4-0, Denver City was 2-2, Dalhart had a 1-3 record and Brownfield was 0-3. The top four move into the playoffs.

Perryton will play Sweetwater in the bi-district round at a time and place to be determined.

On Friday night in Dalhart, the game was all Rangers, dominating on both offense and defense. The Perryton defense allowed only five gains over 10 yards all night on 44 plays by the Golden Wolves. The Ranger defense also intercepted two passes and recovered two fumbles in the contest.
