Sue Anne Brashears

Sue Anne Brashears, 83, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Sue Anne was born on June 2, 1940 in Childress, to Melvina A. Brashears and Jinks H. Brashears. She grew up in Perryton, and graduated from Perryton High School. Sue Anne attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating with a BBA in Free Enterprise. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, where she made many life long friends.

Sue Anne taught Economics at Perryton High School for many years, and later had a career in Real Estate, which took her to Amarillo. SueAnne moved to New Orleans in January 2022.

Sue Anne attended Berachah Church for many years, and had a strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She enjoyed playing tennis, making arts and crafts, and having dinner with her friends.

Survivors include two sons, Christopher Scott Haigler and wife Wanda Louise Haigler of Austin, Jeffrey Charles Haigler and wife Stephanie De-Zura Haigler of New Orleans, and brother Archie Brashears and wife Carol Brashears of Duncan, Oklahoma.

Sue Anne was “Grandma Susie” to granddaughters, Sarah Elizabeth Haigler Uhles and husband Kevin Nathan Uhles of Dallas, Laura Louise Haigler Keogh and husband Colin Russel Keogh of Austin, and three greatgranddaughters, Emma Louise Uhles, Eleanor Laura Uhles, and Kennedy Austin Keogh.
