VALIDATION DAY Extension Agent Scott Strawn presided over Sheep and Goat Validation Day on Tuesday evening at the county’s ag barn near the Expo Center. Validation Day is one of the first steps prior to the upcoming livestock show andsale. Students showing sheep or goats brought their animals in to get them registered and tagged. After the first week of early voting in the Nov. 8 general election, voter turnout has beensteady during the first week.
By around noon on Friday, there were 401 people who had cast early ballots in the election.
Early voting began Oct. 24, and will run through Friday, Nov. 4. Early voting will be at the Ochiltree County Courthouse, first floor, south office.
