Perryton High School seniors Yancey Judice and Cuyler Waide have been selected as the Rotary Club Students of the Month for October. They were honored at the Rotary Club meeting Oct. 1.
Judice is the daughter of Brent and Kelly Judice. She has two sisters, Hayley and Rio.
She is involved in volleyball, basketball, cheer, National Honor Society and Student Council. Her favorite subjects in school are algebra and anatomy.
When asked to name her most influential teacher of coach, Judice said, “Throughout high school, I have had many different coaches, which makes it difficult to pick just one. They have all made a big impact on my life.”
She plans to become a nurse anesthetist and work as a traveling nurse anesthetist. She also has a desire to start her own special ed program.
Waide is the son of Steven and Paige Waide. He has two older brothers, Ellis and John. He plays on the golf team and is active in the FFA program.
He said history is his favorite subject because “I’ve got a great teacher (Coach Hodge) who is very passionate in what he teaches.”
Waide listed ag teacher JoBonney LeCompte as his most influential teacher, saying, “He connects with his students and is committed to his students’ well-being inside and out of the classroom.”
He plans to attend Oklahoma State University in the fall, then return to Ochiltree County to pursue a career in farming.
