I love peanuts but was banned from bringing peanuts in the shell into our home years ago.
I have taught my grandchildren, however, to enjoy shelling and gobbling goobers in the backyard and have been known to crack and eat a few in my pickup.
Peanuts in the shell do make a mess but they are great, especially salted!
