  • QUILTS OF HONOR RECIPIENTS— At a special presentation Oct. 12, 12 veterans received Quilts of Valor from the Friendship Quilt Guild. Sharp, Jr.

    The Friendship Quilt Guild presented 12 Quilts of Valor in a special presentation Oct. 12 at Community Worship Center.Alfred Sharpton of Perryton joined the U.S. Air Force in 1973. He attended basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Al was then stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene. He was sent for 60to-70-day rotations to Alaska, England, Germany and Turkey. He ...
