Yamel Granillo has been named the Young Careerist of the Month by the Panhandle Professional Women’s Club.She is the owner of YG Beauty, and is a nail technician cosmetologist.In her spare time, her hobbies are cycling, baking and painting.

Kids College sets lots of activities

Frank Phillips College, Allen Campus, will host their annual Kids College throughout June and July.The daytime camp will feature lots of activities for kids from ages 5-12.Kids must pre-register for Kids College activities at https://www.campusce.net/ fpctx/course/course.aspx? catId=9.

Search yields drugs, guns, stolen property

The Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search of a residence south of Perryton on Friday, May 29.During the search, 136 grams of methamphetamines were located, along with eight firearms, narcotics paraphernalia, and proceeds from two storage unit burglaries.

The Perryton Municipal Water Park is open for the summer season, giving kids lots of ways to cool off in the summer heat, including water slides, swimming, diving, playing in the splash pad, and floating on the lazy river. The regular hours for the water park are Monday through Saturday from 1-7 p.

Commissioners meet Tuesday

The Ochiltree County Commissioners Court met for their regular meeting on Tuesday this week.After a routine meeting paying bills and hearing county reports, Perryton City Manager Colby Waters and Fire Chief Ed Hanna briefed the court on operational matters and other updates.
