Erika Grajeda was named the Young Careerist for February by the Panhandle Professional Women’s Club.She has two sons, Carlos Tafoya, 14, and Everado Tafoya, 11.She is the branch manager of Sun Loan Company.

Floyd wins big in primary for county judge

Close to 1,200 Ochiltree County voters turned out to cast ballots in the March 3 primary election. That included 1,120 Republican and 76 Democratic voters.Wayne Floyd was the big winner in the County Judge race. He received 912 votes. The other candidate, Brenda Austin received 177 votes.

PHS Choir soloists qualify for State

Perryton High School choir students competed in UIL Solo-Ensemble Contest last month at Canyon High School, with more than 20 students qualifying for state competition.All of the PHS students competed as soloists; there were no ensembles in this year’s contest.
