Rangers whip Borger, 41-7

The Rangers pulled off a big lopsided 41-7 win over Borger Friday night at Ranger Field, propelling them into the third seed in the district in the playoffs. The Rangers will face Midland Greenwood in the bi-district round next Friday in Plainview.

Rangerette volleyball closes out the season

The Rangerettes closed out the 2021 season with an almost impossible task. They battled the number one state-ranked Hereford Lady Whitefaces. Hereford has dominated the competition all year. Hereford entered the contest with an overall record of 38-2 and building steam for the playoffs.

PHS cross country closes out the season

The Ranger cross country team and Rangerette Averie Russell ran at the Region 1- 4A meet on Monday. The race was held on the course at the Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. The boys’ race had 175 runners while the girl’s race hosted 179 runners.

Rangerettes fall to the Lady Harvesters

The Rangerette volleyball team traveled to Pampa for their next to last match of the season on Saturday. Pampa needed a win to stay safely in the playoff picture. Perryton looked to secure their first match win of the district season.

The Rangerettes host the Demonettes

The Rangerette volleyball team faced a daunting task on Tuesday as they hosted the Dumas Demonettes. Dumas has steamrolled through the district schedule with dominance to this point of the season. Perryton remains hampered by several athletes delegated to the injury reserve list.

Lady Eagles sweep Rangerettes

The Rangerette volleyball team travelled to Canyon for their second match against the Lady Eagles on Saturday. Perryton hosted Canyon earlier in the season and won their only set of the dis-trict season so far, despite losing the match.

Rangers, Russell qualify for the regional meet

Canyon High School dominated the District 4-4A cross country meet on Saturday in Canyon. Both the Eagles and Lady Eagles took the team and individual titles in dominant fashions. The Eagles placed all their runners in the top nine spots.

Rangers notch big 44-10 victory over Lobos

The Rangers made the long road trip to Levelland on Friday, and brought home a big 44-10 win in their first district contest. The Rangers’ offense and defense made several outstanding plays throughout the game, including numerous big offensive plays for big yardage.

Lady Bulldogs sweep Rangerettes

The second district meeting between the Borger Lady Bulldogs and the Perryton Rangerettes occurred Tuesday in Perryton. The Rettes struggled in the first contest in Borger and lost in three sets.
