Jack Eugene Broughton, 93, of Fort Dodge, KS, formerly of Perryton, died Aug. 5, 2021. Services will be held Friday, Aug. 13, at 1 p.m. at Ziegler Funeral Chapel in Dodge City, KS with Rev. Shawn Fletcher officiating.

Rites set for Shutt

Ernestine Shutt, 90, of Perryton, died July 26, 2021. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m. at Boxwell Brothers Chapel with Marlon and Kathy Sparks officiating. She was born Aug. 17, 1930 in Miranda City, and she grew up in Freer, graduating from Freer High School in 1947.

Verlla Coughenour

Verlla Coughenour, age 91 and a longtime resident of Manhattan, KS, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021 at Bethany Village in Lindsborg, KS. Verlla was born on Feb. 11, 1930 in Beaver, Oklahoma to Melvin and Pearl (Wiltfong) Hummer.

Nelda Ann Lowder

Nelda Ann Halford Lowder, 86, of Amarillo, passed from this life Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, in her home. She was born April 1, 1935, in Barnsdall, OK to Harry and Jessie Halford. She married Jim Lowder on March 3, 1972. During their life, they lived in Liberal, KS, Turpin, OK, Hereford and Amarillo.

Billy Phelps, 80, of Perryton died Aug. 4, 2021. Services were held Saturday, Aug. 7, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Laverty officiating. Burial was in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. He was born Aug.

Billy Lee Johnson, 91, of Perryton, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 9, 2021 at Community Worship Center in Perryton with Rev. Harold J. Bollinger officiating. Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery.

Fanning rites set

Wanda Lou Fanning, 86, of Perryton died July 30, 2021. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, over Zoom. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. She was born May 5, 1935 in Hardeman County and grew up in Lubbock.

Wanda Jo Rankin

Wanda Jo Rankin, 83, of Canadian went to be with Jesus, Friday, July 30, 2021, in Canadian. Graveside services were held Monday, Aug. 2, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery, with Bo Rankin and Charlie Rankin, officiating.

Maria Evangelina “Eva” Vigil, 69, of Perryton died July 27, 2021. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 31, at 2:15 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Cesar Gomez officiating. Burial will follow at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian.

Stewart Evan Luther, 31, of Perryton died July 27, 2021. Services were held Friday, July 30, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. He was born Feb. 11, 1990.
