Peggy Lasater

Peggy Ann Blackmore Lasater, 87, of Denton, passed away on March 26, 2023, at her home. She was born in Perryton on November 25, 1935, to Carl and Gladys (Holland) Blackmore. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, teacher, and friend.

Adam Trejo Adam Trejo, 33, of New Town, ND, formerly of Perryton, died March 20, 2023. Services were held Tuesday, March 28, at United Pentecostal Church in Perryton with David Hernandez officiating. Burial followed in Ochiltree Cemetery.

Art Stabel Art Stabel, 97, of Perryton, died March 25, 2023 in Perryton. Funeral services were held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 28 at the First Baptist Church in Perryton with Rev. Richard Laverty officiating, with burial to follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lipscomb County.

Travis Bozeman, 41, of Perryton, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 in Perryton. A memorial service was held Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Perryton, Texas, with Rev. Dan Anderson officiating.

Stephanie Lynn Bynum Bates, 40, of Abilene, and former resident of Spearman, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Funeral services were on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Cornerstone Methodist Church in Spearman at 10 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Hatcher of Abilene officiating.

Daryl Keith Pitts, 89, retired bank executive passed away on March 13, 2023. Born to Chester Arthur and Vera Green Pitts on December 21, 1933, Daryl was raised on the family farm south of Booker.

Diane Wells McDowell

Diane Wells McDowell passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 91 years of age. She was born in 1932 in Wellington to Marian Atkins Wells and Henry Deskins (“Deck”) Wells, editor and publisher of The Wellington Leader for over 50 years.
