John Benedict
John Louis Benedict, 76, of Beaver, OK, died Sept. 19, 2023 in Amarillo.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, at 1 p.m. at his home, 137701 EW 30 Rd., Beaver.
He was born Dec. 6, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN, attending school at St. Anthony and graduating from Edison High School in 1964. He joined the U.S. Army in 1966, and served in Germany for two years.
He was a dairy farmer and electrician in Minnesota for 35 years, and a member of Corriente Cattle Association. He was also a team roper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Val Benedict and Lois Dingmann.
He is survived by two daughters, Jessica Kramer of Monticello, MN andAmy Casper of Balko, OK; two sisters, Linda Rosecke of Minnesota and Patty McPherson of Hudson, WI; one brother, Jim Benedict of Florida; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to one’s favorite charity.
