DRIVE-UP BANK DEMOLISHED – The FirstBank Southwest main bank and drive-up location were damaged by the storm and rendering them unusable. FBSW has set up a mobile banking unit in Perryton starting June 23, with doors open 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is located in the Walls parking lot behind Whigham Park on Ash Street. Along with personal bankers and tellers located inside, there is a drive-through for convenience on the west side of the building from north to south.
The Perryton City Council held an emergency meeting Wednesday at the Ochiltree County Law Enforcement Center.
The disaster declaration for the city was extended 60 days. The original declaration was only good for seven days.
The council also approved purchasing the old Innovative Offices building at 417 S. Amherst for City Hall. Purchase price was $120,000.
