Ruby June Piersall, 99, of Perryton, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Amarillo.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 5, 2023, at Community Worship Center. Burial followed in Fairmont Cemetery in Follett. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.
Ruby June Troutt was born on March 20, 1924 in Beaver County to Coy and Emma (Hummer) Troutt. She married Kenneth Piersall on July 23, 1950 in Follett. Ruby loved her family. She was an active member of the Community Worship Center, and she enjoyed her many years in the classroom teaching. She was part of the OGH Pink Ladies Auxiliary since 1985.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Piersall; parents, Coy and Emma (Hummer) Troutt; brothers, Gilbert Troutt, Ray Troutt; and sister, Myrtle Nine.
She is survived by her sons, Mickey Piersall and wife Janice of Irving, and Rick Piersall and wife Amy of Fort Worth; daughter, Jane Law and husband Brett of Balko, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Matt Piersall, Alison Williams, Tyler Piersall, Clay Piersall, Todd Piersall, Ryan Piersall, Andria Leavitt, and Blake Law, Russell Law; 18 greatgrandchildren, who affectionately called her GiGi; brothers, Marvin Troutt and wife Marilyn of Topeka, Kansas, and George Troutt and wife Jean Ann of Santanta, Kansas; and Bob and Diane Thorpe, whom she considered part of her family.
