Art Stabel
Art Stabel, 97, of Perryton, died March 25, 2023 in Perryton.
Funeral services were held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 28 at the First Baptist Church in Perryton with Rev. Richard Laverty officiating, with burial to follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lipscomb County. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
Mr. Stabel was born on October 11, 1925 in Higgins to Fred Stabel and Anna Laubhan. He and his wife, Mary, farmed and they were members of First Baptist Church in Perryton.
Mr. Stabel is survived by his wife, Mary, of Perryton; one son, Max Stabel, of Menard; one daughter, Carol Stabel, of Corpus Christi; step-daughter, Denise McCartney of Perryton; step-son, Brian Wyman of Brocton, NY; and sister Lenora Brazwell of California; six grandchildren, and four great-granchildren.
Mr. Stabel was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Anna Stabel; his first wife, Ruth Hildenbrand Stabel Sell; and his brothers and sisters.
