Dorothy Earlene Anderson Greene, age 82, of Lake Kickapoo, passed away Dec. 20, 2022 in a Wichita Falls hospital after a short illness.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Chapel in her hometown of Perryton. Interment followed in Ochiltree Cemetery.
Earlene was born on Dec. 19, 1940 in Dalhart, to the late Wilburn “Andy” Anderson and Opal Audine Burgess Anderson.
She and Robert M. Greene were married Aug. 14, 1960 in Perryton.
Earlene retired from school teaching in the 1970’s when she and her husband, Bob, owned and managed funeral homes in Western Kansas and Southwest Oklahoma for nearly 30 years.
Survivors include her husband, Bob of Lake Kickapoo; daughters, Robin Greene and her wife, Janie of Fort Worth, andTanda Dovel and husband, Mark of Aurora; two grandsons, Dewey Dovel and wife, Beall of Wichita, KS and Bailey Dovel of College Station; greatgranddaughter, Isabelle of Wichita, KS; and a niece, Starla Allen and husband, Jobe of Stinnett.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Wilburn Ray “Andy” Anderson and his wife, Dana of Borger, and a nephew, Andy Ray Anderson of Las Vegas, NV.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
