Willie Rae Tregellas

Willie Rae Tregellas, 98, of Perryton, passed away Oct. 22, 2022.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. at Ochiltree Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m., Thursday at the First Christian Church, with Rev. Dan Anderson officiating.

A family visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 6-8 p.m.at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton. The funeral home will also be open for viewing/visitation on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. Arrangements under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.

Willie Rae was born Feb. 21, 1924. She was the third of four daughters born to W. M. and Audrey (Bowles) McCartor. Born in Gray, OK, she lived there until her marriage to Jack E. Tregellas on Feb. 16, 1947.

Jack and Willie grew up as neighbors, attending different schools. Willie was 13 years old when Jack asked her out for their first date. WillieÕs father, Bill became a school bus driver for the Perryton schools, and both Willie and Jack graduated from Perryton High School.

After marriage, they followed the oil field for work. While living in Pampa, Tim was born. While living in Chickasha, OK, Bill Mac was born. Shortly after, they moved to Perryton, where they lived for the remainder of their years.

Willie was a loving housewife and mother. They attended the Gray Commu-nity Church until 1995, then they began attending the First Christian Church of Perryton.

She is survived by her sons and their wives Tim and Debra Tregellas of Aledo, and Bill Mac and Rita Tregellas of Perryton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Chad and Brenna Tregellas of Aledo, Ashley and Zoli Kovacs of Aledo, Tiffaney and Khan Hamid of Fort Worth and Seth Tregellas of Perryton; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack E. Tregellas; her parents, William M. and Audrey McCartor; and three sisters, Winifred Cook, Annabelle Kerns, and Elaine Rogers.
