Dora Clara Anaya, 84, of Perryton died Sept. 4, 2022.
A mass will be held at a later date at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
She was born Aug. 12, 1938 in Las Vegas, NM. She grew up in Los Alamitos, NM, and married Joe “Lilo” Anaya and the lived in Las Vegas, NM before moving to Tucumcari, NM. She moved to Texas in 2011. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, George and Maria Lucero; and four brothers, Manuel Lucero, Ramon Lucero, Lupe Lucero and Barney Lucero.
She is survived by six daughters,Agnes Morales of Anton Chico, NM, Dolly Padilla and Sandra Molinas of Tucumcari, NM, Erline Hankammer, Anna Belle Guzman and Mary Margaret Anaya, all of Perryton; two sons, Andrew Anaya of Albuquerque, NM and Johnny Anaya of Tucumcari, NM; one brother, Chupe Lucero of Albuquerque, NM; one sister, Porfie Salas of Las Vegas, NM; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
