Rites set for former resident

Harlan Dale Bunch, 74, of Pawhuska, OK, formerly of Perryton, died July 15, 2022 at Sedan City Hospital in Sedan, KS.

Cremation has taken place, with arrangements under the direction of Dickens Family Funeral Home in Sedan.

A memorial service will be held at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Perryton, on Friday, Aug. 5, at 2 p.m.

He was born June 10, 1948, and grew up and attended school in Texas. He married Betty Ann Bucher Sept. 5, 1969 in Perryton. They lived in Perryton for several years, where he worked in the oilfield as a rig operator and later as a water truck driver. He retired in 2006. They moved to rural Pawhuska 14 years ago.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela DeAnn; two brothers, Jay and Darrell; one sister, Lisa; and his parents Robert and Mathie (Denson) Bunch.

He is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home; two daughters, Sherry Hemp-hill of rural Paw-huska, OK, and Cindy Kincannon of Goodwell, OK; one son, Tony Bunch of Panhandle; three sisters, Arlene Simpson of Purmela, Carol Crowell and Tammy McDaniel, both of Gates-ville; two brothers, Allen Bunch and Ronnie Bunch, both of Georgetown; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
