Eva Marie Cowan

Eva Marie Cowan went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 15, 2022.

Funeral service were held Wednesday, April 20, 2022,at 10:30 a.m., at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Perryton with Chaplin Darrell Burton officiating. Burial followed in Gray Cemetery in Gray, OK.

Eva Marie (Leatherman) Cowan was born on Sept. 14, 1923 to Frank and Belle (Vance) Leatherman at Gray, OK. She married Freddie Leroy Cowan on Jan. 15, 1942. To this union were born three sons: Richard Cowan and Freddie Cowan both of Balko, OK., and Merle Cowan and wife, Lorena of Stinnett.

Eva was a housewife, she made quilts, and homemade meals for her family, and worked at both café’s at Bryan’s Corner for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Perryton.

In addition to her sons, Eva has left behind several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and greatgreat-grandchildren, which she was very proud of each and every one of them.

She is also survived by one sister-in-law Frankie Leatherman of Bixby, OK. and brother-in-law, Beryl Cowan of Missouri. She was also very proud of each of her nieces and nephews. She always looked forward to all family reunions because she got to see most of her kin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Leroy Cowan on March 27, 1994 and all of her siblings.
