Jay Kenny Norris, 75, of Perryton, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2022 at the First Christian Church in Perryton with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. The funeral home in Perryton will be open for viewing Wednesday (1/26/22) 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Thursday (1/27/22) 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday (1/28/21) from 9 a.m. until funeral time. Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.
Jay Kenny was born Nov. 9, 1946 in Perryton, to Merle LaRue and Ada Irene (Jones) Norris. He graduated from Perryton High School in 1965. He married Lisa Watts on Aug. 2, 1967. After teaching school from 1972-1979, he decided to attend law school from 1980-1983 and started his law practice in Perryton. He was Ochiltree County Judge from 1991-1994. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Perryton.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lisa; his parents; brothers, Tim Norris and Larry Norris; and sister, Sandra Norris.
He is survived by his son, Kelly Norris and wife, Casey, of Amarillo; daughter, Gina Norris of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Oakley, Keelly, Dawson, Colson, Kannon and Kirstee and husband, Eli; and three great-grandchildren, Kyren, Deklyn and Emeree.
