Wanda Tye Scott, 87, of Perryton, died Nov. 25, 2021.
Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 30, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Metzger officiating. Burial followed at Paducah Garden of Memories in Paducah.
She was born Dec. 6, 1933 in Paducah and married Boyce Scott on Aug. 27, 1955 in Paducah. They moved to Perryton in 1959 from Fort Worth.
She taught school in Perryton for 30 years. She was a member of the Wolf Creek Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, where she served as registrar for several years, and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was also a 50 year member of Delta Kappa Gamma, served as secretary for many years for the Waka Christian Center and was very active in the Walk to Emmaus retreat.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce; two sons, David Scott and Byron Scott; and her parents, Reese and Ida (Coats) Tye.
She is survived by one son, Royce Scott of Baytown; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 987, Perryton; or Waka Christian Center, P.O. Box 52, Perryton.
