Billy Phelps, 80, of Perryton died Aug. 4, 2021.
Services were held Saturday, Aug. 7, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Laverty officiating. Burial was in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
He was born Aug. 23, 1940 in Bethel, OK, and married Judy Browning on Sept. 2, 1960 in Meadow. He was a member of First Baptist Church and worked as a mechanic in Perryton for several years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, in 2016; his parents, Archie and Opal (Hubbard) Phelps; two brothers, Bob Phelps and Dale Phelps; one sister, Dorothy Boatright; and one granddaughter, Macie Thomas.
He is survived by three daughters, Cali Taylor of Perryton, LaTonia Chesshir of Amarillo and Shenell Thomas of Hart; one brother, Don Phelps of Oklahoma; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to one’s favorite charity.
