Daniel Edward Kirby, 66, of Perryton, passed away on March 23, 2021.
A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, March 26, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Perryton, with Rev. Richard Laverty officiating. Burial will follow in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
The funeral home in Perryton will be open for visitation/viewing on Wednesday, March 24, from 12–9 p.m.; Thursday, March 25, 9 a.m.–9 p.m.; and Friday, March 26, 9 a.m. until service time.
Daniel was born on June 3, 1954, in Birmingham, AL to Melvin and Barbara Ann (Pruett) Kirby. He was an avid fisherman, loved racing and sports of any kind. He worked for MRC Global for 20 plus years. He married Karen Moistner on Dec. 8, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Perryton, where he was also a member.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Karen, of the home; four sons, Greg Kirby and wife, Jessica of Perryton, Ian Moistner Kirby of Perryton, JC Cortez of Vancouver, WA, and DJ Moistner and wife, Rosie, of Norwich, CT; daughters, Chrissy Bridges of Princeton, NC, Danielle Ortega and husband, Lewis, of Miami, Kim Sewell and husband, Garrett, of Liberty Lake, WA, Kassie Wilkerson and husband, Jered, of Delta Junction, AK, and Crystal Skidmore of Dallas; 18 grandkids and one grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Barbara Kirby.
The family suggests memorials be sent in his name to Perryton High School Bass Fishing Team, 1102 S Jefferson, Perryton, TX 79070.
