Ernest C. Malone, 80, of Perryton, passed away Dec. 23, 2020.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Victory Family Church with Marlon Sparks officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.
Ernest was born March 25, 1940 to Everett and Eula (Wells) Malone. He worked as a chef at The Perryton Club. He also had a green thumb and worked in greenhouses around the area. He was a member of Victory Family Church. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved his family, his church family and enjoyed playing cards and board games.
He is survived by his daughter Marsella Rodriguez and husband Glen of Amarillo; his son, Jerabay Malone and wife, Deanna, of Brighton, Co; sisters, Virginia Banning of Winfield, KS, and Winifred Bryan of Independence, MO; brothers, Leslie Malone and wife, Martha of Kansas City, MO, Neil Malone and wife, Mary, of Coffeeville, KS, and Keith Malone of Galveston; four granddaughters, Sierra and husband Derrick Fierro, Sabra and husband Curtis Dong, Sabrina Rodriguez, and Glenna Rodriguez; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Eula Malone, and sisters, Marilyn Widdows, Edith Bridgewater, and Margaret Wimberley.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent in his name to Victory Family Church, 2322 S Main, Perryton, Tx 79070.
