Larry Gene Munday, 66, of Perryton, died Dec. 14, 2020 at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 1 p.m. at Community Christian Church with Craig VanDeburgh officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
He was born May 31, 1954 in Cleveland, OH, and married Corene Nusz on May 2, 1981 in Perryton. He was a firefighter for over 20 years.
He was also a Scoutmaster for 10 years, and served on the Snack Pak 4 Kids board, Wolf Creek Park advisory board and the Perryton-Ochiltree County Crime Stoppers board. He was also a volunteer for Toys for Tots.
He was preceded in death by his fathers, Roy Munday and Lawrence Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Corene, of the home; two sons, Scott Munday of Gatesville and Eric Munday of Amarillo; his mother, Ruby Bailey of Mauldin, SC; two sisters, Wanda Price of Spartanburg, SC and Ara Miller of Columbus, OH; two brothers, William Bailey of Fort Worth and Larry Ray Bailey of Port Aransas; and one grandchild.
