Terry Dickey, 70, of Briscoe passed away on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020 in Norman, OK.
Services will be on Thursday, Nov.12, 2020 at 2 p.m. at One Way Church in McLean with Rev. Casey Carter, pastor, officiating and Rev. Jeff Laird, pastor of Briscoe Community Church, assisting. Burial will follow at Mobeetie Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Terry was born on Nov. 21, 1949 in Canadian to Clyde and Mable Walling Dickey. He graduated from Mobeetie High School in 1969 and went into the Army on Feb. 2, 1971. He was stationed in Korea before being honorably discharged on Dec. 12, 1972 as a SGT E-5.
Terry married his high school sweetheart, Glenda Hodges, on June 6, 1971. They had two children and enjoyed many wonderful years together before her passing on Oct. 8, 2010. Terry later married Emma Jean “Honey” McMullen on Feb. 5, 2012. She preceded him in death on Dec. 9, 2018. Terry fell in love again and was married to Sharon Clower on May 9, 2019.
He enjoyed camping, helping work cattle, riding his bike, and spending time with his grandkids. Terry will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather.
Terry was preceded in death by parents; a sister, Mary Jo Reynolds; and Emma Jean’s son.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home; two sons, Brad Dickey and wife Candi of Canyon and John Dickey and wife Hannah of Mobeetie; Emma Jean’s two daughters; Sharon’s two daughters; two brothers, Richard and Toney Dickey; four sisters, Phyllis Tyler, Linda Hogan, Nelda Anderson, and Sharlottie “Shot” Cole; five grandchildren, Luke, Noah, Jaytin, Jaylie, and Jayla Dickey; several stepgrandchildren and greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
