Funeral services for Samuel D. Pingelton, Sr., Clinton OK resident, formerly of Perryton, will be held Friday, October 9, 2020 at 11 a.m.in the New Hope Fellowship Church, officiated by Pastor Gary Jones and Jeff Hinshaw. Burial will follow in the Sentinel Cemetery in Sentinel, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Samuel Dale Pingelton, Sr. was born Nov. 2, 1947 in De Queen, AR to James K.Pingelton and Winnie G. (Bogue) Pingelton and passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020 in the Canadian Valley Integris Hospital in Yukon, OK.
Sam was raised and attended school in Spearman. He married Alice L. Thompson on June 8, 1967 in Spearman. They lived most of their married life in Perryton. He attended Auctioneer School as well as attending welding school. He owned and operated Samco Manufacturing and Custom Welding Company until his retirement in 2017.He then moved to Clinton, OK.
He gave his life to Christ in 1995 and loved to give his testimony. He often said “I was saved many times before I was really saved.” He was a faithful and active member of Clinton’s New Hope Fellowship Church. He loved the outdoors and loved to fish, restore cars, going to car shows, swap meets and auctions.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Pingelton and grandson, Daniel Hightower.
He is survived by his wife, Alice, of the home, two daughters, Deborah Stewart, Kemp, and Teresa Hightower and husband, Bret, Oklahoma City, OK; two sons, Samuel D. Pingelton, Jr., Clinton and Caleb Pingelton, Yukon, OK; two sisters, Patricia Morley, Gruver, and Shirley Pingelton, Goldthwaite.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
