Edna Faye Fullbright Scroggs, 97, of Spearman died June 13, 2020.
Services were held Tuesday, June 16, at the Church of Christ in Spearman with Dr. Ollie Kinser officiating. Burial was in Hansford Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.
She was born Sept. 12, 1922 on the Palo Duro Creek northeast of Spearman. She married Carl Scroggs July 31, 1940 at the Fullbright farm. They lived most of their married life in Waka.
She served as president of the PTA and a home demonstration club. She was also a cashier at Thriftway Grocery Store in Spearman and postmistress of the Waka Post Office.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1990; an infant daughter, Arleta and another daughter, Anna Margaret Kinser; her parents, Ralph and Myrtle Fullbright; three sisters, Edith Pipkin, Ethel Depew and Reba Banks; one brother, Orville Fullbright; and her second husband, Edward Owens.
She is survived by three daughters, Donetta Greene of Spearman, Marcena Hutson of Coweta, OK and Noveta Leming of Poteau, OK; one brother, Wilbur Fullbright of Lynchburg, VA; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Gideons Bibles, P.O. Box 254, Perryton; or one’s favorite charity.
