The Museum of the Plains recognized Dempsey Malaney as the museum’s Patron of the Year on Tuesday evening. Malaney, who has previously served as a county commissioner and is currently the county’s Veterans Service Officer, has led the museum’s security committee, assisted with facility maintenance, and helps in the museum gift shop in his spare time.
