Charles Jay Kennedy
Charles Jay Kennedy, Sr., 59, of Collingsworth County, died Aug. 25, 2025. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was born Sept. 30, 1965 in Wellington, and graduated from Wellington High School. He married Tawanna Benton on June 12, 1998, and they lived in Higgins. He worked as a cowboy, truck driver and tattoo artist.
He was preceded in death by wife, Tawanna; one son, Jackie Lee Starkey; and his mother, Charlesreen Bolton.
He is survived by his children, Charles Jay Kennedy, Jr. of Amarillo, Tiffany Needham of Oklahoma City, OK, Tanya George of Perryton, Wesley Kennedy of Abbotsford, BC and Destiny Clark of Higgins; one brother, Shawn Kennedy of Wellington; one sister, Sherideen Thomas of Wellington; and 12 grandchildren.
