Peggy Shelton
Peggy Shelton, 88, of Perryton, died May 4, 2025.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 7, at Mobeetie Cemetery, with Tucker Barnes officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 21, 1936 in Mobeetie, and graduated from Mobeetie High School in 1955. She married Mac Shelton in 1956 in Mobeetie. They lived in Fritch, Dumas, Spearman and Perryton. She was a member of Community Worship Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mac; her parents, Vernon and Pauline (Johnson) Hooker; two sisters, Mearlene Scott and Joyce McIntire; and one great-granddaughter.
She is survived by two daughters, Loretta Mick of Perryton and Willetta Brown of Abilene; three sisters, Ellen Moore of Tucson, AZ, Inez Moore Sue Harrison, both of Mobeetie; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren.
