Jennye Jo Barton Blau, 90, died Feb. 16, 2025 in Lubbock.
Viewing will be Thursday and Friday, Feb. 20-21, from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Booker.
A graveside service will be held Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. at Heart Cemetery in Booker.
She was born Aug. 24, 1934 in Shattuck, OK, and grew up on the family ranch on Wolf Creek.
She attended Valley Park School, then Booker High School, where she was valedictorian of her class and the drum majorette. She attended Texas Tech.
She married Lewis Blau on Aug. 24, 1952. They lived in Spearman, then moved south of Booker, where they farmed and ranched. She also worked with her husband at Booker Locker Plant. Later she worked at Wellington Livestock and Miller Supply Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis; one daughter, Phyllis Fortenberry; and her parents, Alex and Ludean Barton.
She is survived by one son, Barton Blau of Scottsdale, AZ; four grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren.
