Norma Sue Bocox, 81, of Amarillo, passed away on January 29, 2025.
No services were held. Arrangements were by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton.
She was born on November 2, 1943, in Borger, to John Euel Smith and Anna Mae Cecil. Sue was the beloved wife of the late Calvin Manuel Bocox.
Sue dedicated 20 years of her life to caring for others as an RN at the Senior Village nursing home in Perryton. Her compassion and dedication touched countless lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two brothers, a daughter Theresa Browne, and a great-great grandson.
Sue is survived by her children, Nancy Lamm, John Browne, and Roberta Waggoner; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-greatgrandchildren; her twin brother, Sonny Smith, six nieces; her baby brother, Johnny Smith, and his wife, Linda, two nephews, and a niece; first cousin, Jackie Meek, and her late husband, Lloyd Meek, Bobbie Darlene Alexander, and Ray and Roy Meek; along with numerous cousins, and greatnieces and nephews.
Sue was known for her warm heart, funny stories that would always make you laugh, love of angels, her passion for caring for any and all kids that came into her life, and her love for Diet Coke. She was one of a kind—goofy, loving, feisty, ornery, and made everlasting memories with everyone she knew. She left an imprint that will forever remain. She will be deeply missed.
