Joe Lynn Brillhart

Joe Lynn Brillhart, 76, of Perryton, Texas passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 in Perryton.

Funeral servicse were held Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Community Worship Center in Perryton, officiated by Rev. Marlon Sparks and Jason Vanosdol. Burial followed in Ochiltree Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

Mr. Brillhart was born on November 25, 1948 in Perryton, to Woodrow Brillhart and Eulene Wade. He graduated college from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, and he married his wife, Gayla Childress Brillhart, on February 18, 1983 in Perryton.

He was an aviator, and he farmed and ranched for much of his life. He refereed basketball and football for 45 years. He coached youth, and he loved watching football and basketball. He also loved to golf.

He ran Panhandle Disposal for 36 years, and he loved his family. He was a Mason, and he was a member of Community Worship Center in Perryton.

Mr. Brillhart is survived by his wife, Gayla; two daughters, Traci Brillhart Flowers and husband Charlie of Perryton, and Kelly Judice and husband Brent of Perryton; one son, Trey Ellis of Amarillo; one daughter, Zan Bullock and husband Robbie of Clarendon; eight granddaughters, Kelsie Dorman and husband Heath of Perryton, Kinzey Torres and husband Dalton Lubbock, Rio Judice, Yancey Judice, also of Lubbock, Hayley Correll and husband Matt of Spearman, Karlee Adams and husband Darian of Amarillo, Zoe Adams and Roxie Adams, all of Clarendon; three grandsons, Koby Kile and wife Mikki of Amarillo, Rhett Flowers of Junction, and James Ellis of Amarillo; nine great-grandchildren, Astin, Baker, Baylor, Sawyer, Evelyn, Yates, Joseph, Jacob and Dixon; his best friends Rudy and Oliver; and numerous cousins and friends.

Mr. Brillhart was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Bill Brillhart.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be to Community Worship Center, P. O. Box 845, Perryton, Texas, 79070, and the Jireh ministry.
