City’s sales tax payment down 13.5% in January

The City of Perryton’s first sales tax payment of 2025 dropped significantly over January 2024.

The city received $214,992, which is an almost 13.5% decrease from January 2024.

All but one of the area cities checked also showed decreases for the month.

Borger was the only city to notch an increase. Its payment of $470,057 was up nearly 5% from January 2024.
