Dean Leighnor
William Dean Leighnor, 98, of Perryton died Dec. 11, 2024.
Services were held Monday, Dec. 16, at Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
He was born March 10, 1926 in Sentinel, OK, and married Audrey Stump on Dec. 10, 1944. He served on the Equity board of directors, and drove a school bus for many years in Waka. He was also a farmer and rancher. He attended First Methodist Church in Perryton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey; his parents, Clinton and Pearl (West) Leighnor; and three sisters, Christie Snyder, Faye Buchannan and Daisy Wilson.
He is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Bartel of Balko, OK; one son, Harvey Leighnor of Pearl City, HI; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to one’s favorite charity.
