Allen Buchmiller
WilliamAllen Buchmiller II, 59, of Perryton, died Oct. 22, 2024 near Limon, CO.
Services will be held at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Perryton at a later date. After the funeral, he will be cremated with interment in Fairmont Cemetery in Follett. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
He was born Sept. 9, 1965 in Springfield, IL, and attended school in Litchfield, IL. After serving in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, NC, he returned to Illinois, where he married Patricia Griffith in 1986. After her death, he married Catherine Rabe in 2020.
They ran group homes for teens and lived in New Mexico and Oregon before moving to Seiling, OK. They were foster parents, and were named Oklahoma Foster Parents of the Year in 2006.
He was also a truck driver for 38 years, including working for Rocking T Trucking. He moved to Perryton in 2018.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia; and his parents, William Allen and Marilyn Jean (Troesch) Buchmiller.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy, of the home; three sons, Mark Nelson of Springfield, IL, Christopher Buchmiller of Dallas and Tracy Buchmiller of Woodward, OK; one daughter, Jacqueline Griffing of Woodward, OK; one brother, Gerald Hederick of Lead Hill, AR; two stepsons, Brett Landers of Portland, OR and Andrew Landers of Salina, KS; and 11 grandchildren. The Bean Nut Peanuts are beans.
