Hiram Wayne “Hie” Robison

Hiram Wayne “Hie” Robison, 53, of Perryton, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 14, 2024. He was born March 4, 1971, in Amarillo, to Lynn Robison and Brenda Hustead.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Community Worship Center, 2210 SW 15th Ave, Perryton.

Hiram graduated from Perryton High School in May 1991. He then joined the Army and was stationed in Berlin Germany. On December 7, 1991, he married Melea Smith and in February she was able to join him in Berlin. In March of 1993 their lives were blessed with the birth of their first daughter Taryn.

Hie worked as a mechanic in the Army, keeping all the things in the motor pool running. There were lifetime friendships made there that became family. After three years in Berlin Germany, Hiram was stationed in Ft. Hood Texas. The second Robison girl was a month away from being born. In August of 1994 Nikki made her arrival and Hie was the proudest Daddy in the world to two beautiful daughters, he loved them with every fiber of his being.

After four years of service, he moved his family to Perryton. He worked for Schlumberger for 18 years. Due to illness from Multiple Sclerosis, he was left with no choice but to quit working. He spent 10 years at home being a great Pawpaw until his body required more care.

He moved to Ussery Roan Veterans Home in Amarillo, and made lots of friends, especially his best buddy there, Tom Jones. This was his home for three years, where he brightened everyone’s lives. When Hie was 53 years old, after 31 years of battling MS, he went to be with Jesus.

Hie loved spending time with friends and family any chance he got. He loved giving his grandbabies, or anyone who would fit on his scooter, a ride as fast as it would go. Hie loved grilling and making brownies for his grandbabies. Hie loved hunting, shooting guns, fishing, going to the mountains, and really anything outdoors.

Hie loved a lot of things, but one thing he didn’t like was the word “can’t.” Hiram’s saying was “Can’t never did nothing for nobody,” and he sure lived his life that way. You would never find him feeling sorry for himself or giving up. Oh, and one more thing Hiram loved his football, HOW ‘BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!

Hiram was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Floyd and Melba Hustead, his paternal grandparents L.D., and Mary Robison, and his sister Cindy McLerran.

Hiram is survived by his wife Melea Robison; his two daughters Taryn Lizardo and her husband Teto, and Nikki Evans and her husband Joseph; his three grandsons Kadeias Nelson, Grason Lizardo, and Reagan Nelson; and his two granddaughters Rhylin Evans and Bexleigh Evans; his mother Brenda Dunn and husband James; his father Lynn Robison and wife Nora; his brothers, Curtis Robison and wife Stacie, and Billy Robison and wife Kay Ann, and his sister Sheree Evans and husband Brandon.
