City council approves demolition of properties

The Perryton City Council took action on the demolition of three properties, and awarded several bids during its meeting Tuesday evening.The council had held public hearings on several severely damaged structures in the city at its Nov. 5 meeting.One of the three properties, 409 SE Second Ave.

Rettes win regional meet; qualify 15 for state event

The Rangerette powerlifting team brought home its ninth straight regional title after competition March 1 in Big Spring.In addition, 15 girls advanced to the state meet, and had 24 overall medalists.Several girls also broke regional records and earned honors.Ruby Ramirez broke the 114 lb.
