Physicist and chemist Marie Curie died in 1934 of aplastic anemia, an autoimmune disorder in which the body fails to produce enough blood cells. It is believed she acquired the disease because of her years of exposure to highly radioactive materials.

Jennie June Club sets annual spring library book sale

The Jennie June Club of Perryton will hold their spring book sale for 2025 at Perry Memorial Library during the month of April.Patrons can buy used books and videos at a bargain price, one dollar for hardbacks, 50 cents for paperbacks and $1 for videos during the month.
