Stone Age Fair is set this weekend

The annual Perryton Stone Age Fair is scheduled for this Saturday, May 3.The fair will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ochiltree County Expo Center.

Several resignations and new hires were given at the Perryton School Board meeting Monday evening, along with changes for the accelerated education center.

General election is this Saturday

The general election to decide positions on the Perryton School Board is this Saturday, May 3.On election day, Saturday, May 3, voting will be from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at City Hall.Early voting ended on April 29. There were 255 people casting ballots during the early voting period.

Commissioners approve cemetery rules revision

The Ochiltree County Commissioners’ Court met on Monday at the Ochiltree County Courthouse.Among other items on the agenda, the commissioners approved a revision to the Ochiltree County Cemetery’s rules for operation.
Local volunteers for Snack Pak 4 Kids gathered recently at Williams Intermediate Elementary School to pack snacks for hungry kids. Volunteers meet every few weeks to pack snack bags with nutritious food to help food-insecure students stave off hunger. Volunteers include students from Perryton High School, local business employees, church groups, and people who just want to help.
