Night quilt guild has program on “stack and whack” quilts

A program on “stack and whack” quilts was given to the Friendship Quilt Guild night group at its meeting July 13 at First Christian Church fellowship hall. The program was given by Julie Overall of the Quilters Cottage in Stinnett.

CELEBRATING THE OLYMPICS

Residents and staff at Senior Village will be celebrating the Olympic Games for the next few weeks. Residents will be divided into national teams and will engage in simple Olympics-themed competitions, including javelin, fencing, track and field, and more.

I’m not sure if it is really a good thing to sneak off to the mountains in the middle of July, because eventually one must return to the heat and wind and to a garden completely over run with cucumbers. Be prepared, Nancy will be serving cucumbers in a lot of different ways in the coming days.
